KUALA LUMPUR: A food stall and a storage facility near a school in Pekan Ampang, Ampang, were almost completely destroyed in an early morning fire today.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department operations assistant director Ashrul Riezal Asbar said the Ampang Fire and Rescue Station team was dispatched to the scene after receiving an emergency call at 3.46am.
He said the fire involved two premises owned by different individuals, namely a food stall and a general storage facility.
“About 80 per cent of both premises were destroyed in the fire. However, no casualties were reported,” he said in a statement.
The operation was concluded at 8.30am.
