KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 8 — His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report on the management of Tabung Haji (TH).
In a post on His Majesty’s official Facebook page, Sultan Ibrahim said the investigation must be conducted thoroughly to ensure that those found responsible face appropriate action and that similar incidents do not recur.
“No one should escape action if they are truly found guilty,” His Majesty said.
The King issued the decree following an audience with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at Istana Bukit Tunku today, during which His Majesty was briefed on the TH RCI report and issues involving FELDA.
The RCI report, released on July 29, contains findings on the management and governance of Tabung Haji between 2014 and 2020. A special Dewan Rakyat sitting is scheduled for Aug 11 to debate the report.
