GUA MUSANG, September 21 2026 — A total of 81 evacuees from 22 families are still housed at a temporary relief centre (PPS) in Gua Musang following floods in the district.
According to the Social Welfare Department’s (JKM) InfoBencana portal, the evacuees are being sheltered at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Limau Kasturi 1, which covers one mukim.
Meanwhile, a Bernama check found that Linggi Bridge, which provides road access to about 600 Orang Asli from the Mendriq and Bateq communities in Kampung Pasir Linggi, Pos Lebir, has been submerged by floodwaters from Sungai Linggi since yesterday morning.
The flooding, caused by continuous heavy rain in the district, has cut off road access to the settlement, forcing residents to use boats to travel in and out of the area.
