IPOH, September 21 2026, A 39-year-old local man was found dead in the toilet of a petrol station in Taman Tronoh Baru, near Tronoh, today.
Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Assistant Director of Operations Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said the department received an emergency call at 2:20 pm.
He said a team from the Batu Gajah Fire and Rescue Station arrived at the scene at 2:34 pm and found police and Ministry of Health (MOH) personnel already present.
“An unconscious man was found lying inside the toilet and was stuck in the door frame.
“The victim was later confirmed dead by MOH personnel. He was believed to be a member of the public who had stopped at the petrol station to use the toilet,” he said in a statement today.
Sabarodzi said firefighters then carried out an operation to free the victim by adjusting his position before successfully removing him from the toilet.
The victim’s body was subsequently handed over to police for further action.
The operation ended at 3 pm.
