KUALA LUMPUR, September 23 2026, Applications for domestic and overseas postal voting for the 16th Melaka state election are now open.
Election Commission (EC) secretary Datuk Khairul Shahril Idrus said applications must be submitted online through the MySPR portal, with the closing date to be announced later.
He said applicants must have an existing MySPR account or register for one before submitting their applications.
Postal voting is available under three categories: Category 1A for police and military personnel, election officials, EC members and staff, as well as media personnel; Category 1B for Malaysians living abroad; and Category 1C for agencies or organisations.

The Melaka State Legislative Assembly was dissolved yesterday, paving the way for the 16th state election.
