PUTRAJAYA, October 1 2026— Federal and state governments have been urged to encourage greater use of the Respons Rakyat (RR) app to make public feedback channels more inclusive, accessible and efficient.
Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar said the app supports the Public Complaints Management System (SISPAA) and aligns with the government’s digitalisation efforts.
He urged authorities to make full use of feedback and data from both platforms to identify recurring issues and improve public services.
Shamsul Azri also stressed that civil servants should avoid addressing complaints only on an ad hoc basis, saying recurring complaints could indicate weaknesses in the service delivery system.
On the Bureaucratic Red Tape Reform Initiative, he said 1,582 projects had been registered, with 496 completed and generating RM3.21 billion in compliance cost savings.
He said the efforts support the Malaysia MADANI aspirations and Public Service Reform Agenda, which emphasise responsive, compassionate and innovative public administration.
