KUALA LUMPUR, October 6, 2026 — The presence of Myanmar nationals in Malaysia and safety concerns involving students are among key issues expected to be raised at today’s Dewan Rakyat sitting.
During the Minister’s Question Time, Pulai MP Suhaizan Kaiat is expected to ask the Prime Minister about government measures to address the long-standing presence of Myanmar nationals, including refugees and asylum seekers.
Indera Mahkota MP Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah is expected to raise concerns over incidents threatening student safety despite existing school safety guidelines and procedures.
Other issues expected to be discussed include security measures at Kuala Lumpur International Airport and other international gateways, as well as cross-border haze affecting Sarawak.
The sitting will also see the first reading of the Supply Bill 2027 by the Finance Minister and the second reading of the Sports Development (Amendment) Bill 2026 by the Youth and Sports Minister.
