NEW YORK, October 13, 2026, LG Electronics has announced a new range of smart home accessories developed in collaboration with Apple for the Apple Home ecosystem, including indoor and outdoor cameras, a video doorbell, a smart lock, a thermostat and a temperature sensor.
The new products aim to make home management more convenient, secure and energy-efficient through seamless integration with Apple Home and LG ThinQ applications.
According to LG, the collaboration goes beyond device compatibility, with both companies working together from the early stages of product development to improve hardware, software and user experience.
The accessories allow users to control connected devices through Apple’s Home app or Siri. For example, a single “Good Morning” command can adjust the thermostat and reposition an indoor camera. The products also feature end-to-end encryption to protect users’ home data.
LG’s new cameras offer up to 2.5K video resolution, colour night vision and intelligent detection of people, pets, vehicles and movement. Selected models also feature privacy controls, local video storage and adaptive floodlights.
The wired video doorbell combines two cameras to provide wider coverage of visitors and delivered packages, alongside two-way communication and low-light visibility.
Meanwhile, the smart deadbolt lock supports hands-free unlocking using a compatible iPhone or Apple Watch, as well as NFC, PIN codes and a physical key.
The smart thermostat is designed to adjust heating and cooling according to users’ routines. When paired with additional temperature sensors, it can monitor conditions across multiple rooms and support more efficient energy consumption.
The products will begin launching in the United States and Canada in December, with selected accessories arriving early next year. Indoor and outdoor cameras and the video doorbell are also scheduled to launch in the United Kingdom from December.
LG said availability and features may vary by region and product model. Most of the new accessories require a compatible Apple home hub and a Wi-Fi connection.
