MELAKA, Oct 17 2026 , Pakatan Harapan (PH) component parties have no issues with the seat allocation for the upcoming Melaka State Election, according to Acting Melaka PKR chairman Adam Adli Abd Halim.
Adam Adli clarified that confusion arose following reports suggesting PKR would contest the Ayer Keroh state seat, which is currently held by DAP. He said PKR had instead been allocated the Ayer Molek seat.
He stressed the need to clarify the matter to prevent further misunderstanding over the coalition’s seat distribution.
The Hang Tuah Jaya Member of Parliament also expressed hope that the state election would be conducted through healthy political competition, with contesting parties prioritising public concerns and community interests rather than issues that could create division.
The Election Commission has scheduled nomination day for Oct 31, early voting for Nov 10 and polling day for Nov 14.
