GOMBAK, October 19 2026 — One-way fares for the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) will start from RM60 for Economy class Transit services between Gombak and KotaSAS, or Kota Sultan Ahmad Shah, in Kuantan, Malaysia Rail Link Sdn Bhd (MRL) announced today.
MRL chief executive officer Datuk Seri Darwis Abdul Razak said the Cabinet approved the proposed passenger fare structure on October 16, adopting an affordable and rakyat-friendly dynamic pricing mechanism.
He said the approval allows fares to be adjusted flexibly, with one-way Economy class Transit tickets from Gombak to Kota Bharu starting from RM125.
The ECRL is targeted to begin commercial operations in mid-December 2026.
