Selangor Palace Hands Over Impersonation Case to Police for Investigation

SHAH ALAM — The Selangor Palace administration has referred a case involving an individual allegedly impersonating the private bodyguard of the Selangor Crown Prince to the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) for a thorough investigation.

In a statement, the Office of the Sultan of Selangor said it took the matter seriously after receiving police reports alleging that the individual had deceived members of the public for personal gain.

The individual was accused of using the claimed royal connection to gain public trust in purported land and luxury car sales.

The palace administration stressed that the investigation should be conducted fairly and transparently, adding that it would not protect anyone involved in the case.

The public was also urged to verify claims involving individuals who use the palace’s name or alleged royal connections when conducting business transactions.
