SEPANG, Oct 21 2026, Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS) director-general Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain arrived at the Magistrates’ Court here today to face charges relating to the alleged assault of two police officers.

Mohd Shuhaily arrived at 7.30 am wearing a blue suit and was accompanied by AKPS Port Klang Commander Datuk Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal.

Members of the media began gathering outside the court as early as 7 am to cover the proceedings.

On Tuesday, Mohd Shuhaily said he was ready to undergo the legal process and accept the court’s decision.

He had also stated that he would leave it to the government to determine whether any action should be taken against him following the circulation of a viral video showing him reprimanding two individuals at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohd Khalid Ismail previously confirmed that the Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department was investigating the case under Section 323 of the Penal Code, which concerns voluntarily causing hurt.
