KUALA LUMPUR: Parti Wawasan Negara vice-president Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan has called for the positions of Bersatu assemblymen appointed as state executive councillors (Exco) in Kelantan, Terengganu and Kedah to be reconsidered following the cancellation of Perikatan Nasional’s (PN) registration, which he attributed to a complaint by Bersatu.
Speaking at Pengkalan Chepa, Wan Saiful said the appointments should be reviewed to prevent state government resources and public trust from being used against the party’s interests.
He warned against allowing individuals who could undermine the party’s struggle to remain in positions of influence within state administrations.
“We do not want state government resources and public trust to be used by them to stab us in the back, as Bersatu has done within PN,” he said.
Wan Saiful stressed that the party should not give room to those who could ultimately weaken its political struggle and work against its own interests.
Wan Saiful is also the Member of Parliament for Tasek Gelugor.
