DAEJEON, South Korea, Oct 30 – South Korean technology developer REMOSHOT Co., Ltd. is upgrading its DoDrill extended reality (XR) training platform using patented technology from the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI).
The company said the upgrade will improve collaboration between users and allow them to create and customise virtual training environments.
The technology is expected to support more interactive vocational training across several professional sectors.
DoDrill Adds More Interactive Training Features
REMOSHOT is using KISTI’s XR Content Authoring Technology to improve two key features of DoDrill.
These include multiuser collaboration and spatial content creation. The company previously showcased parts of these features at World IT Show 2025.
DoDrill is designed for specialised training in nursing, caregiving and air navigation safety.
Platform Supports Different Devices
DoDrill allows users to enter the same virtual 3D environment through different devices.
These include virtual reality (VR) headsets, personal computers, smartphones and tablets.
Users can also take part in shared training activities. They can communicate in real time and observe each other’s actions during virtual exercises.
This approach allows trainees to practise roles and tasks together in a digital environment.
Users Can Customise Training Scenarios
The platform also includes a tool called Scene Master Editor.
It allows users to upload and modify training scenarios and 3D environments. They can also customise content and add new scenarios as training needs change.
In addition, DoDrill currently supports Korean, English and Vietnamese.
REMOSHOT plans to add Thai, Japanese and Chinese as it explores more markets.
REMOSHOT Looks to Expand XR Training Markets
Based in Daedeok Innopolis in Daejeon, REMOSHOT develops XR software and digital content for South Korea and international markets.
The company works with specialised institutions to develop vocational training services.
Through its partnership with KISTI, REMOSHOT aims to further develop DoDrill and explore new opportunities in the XR training market.
