PUTRAJAYA, Feb 12, 2026 – Shaidatul Nurfairuze has joined Dorsett Hospitality International as General Manager of Dorsett Putrajaya, marking an important step in the group’s continued focus on thoughtful leadership, meaningful guest experiences, and long-term hospitality growth in Malaysia.
With more than 25 years of experience in hospitality, Shaidatul brings a deep understanding of both people and performance, shaped by over 15 years in senior leadership roles across internationally renowned hotel brands and leading independent properties.
Known for blending commercial acumen with a genuine passion for service, she has consistently driven results while nurturing strong, engaged teams.
Before joining Dorsett Putrajaya, Shaidatul held senior roles with respected global brands including Marriott International, Preferred Hotels & Resorts, Rosewood Hotel Group, and Hilton Worldwide.
Most recently, she served as Director of Sales & Marketing at Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur, where she led the hotel through a period of sustained growth, strengthened its position in the corporate and MICE markets, and expanded its international reach.
During her tenure, the hotel achieved double-digit revenue growth, steady improvements in RevPAR and ADR, and earned multiple industry accolades, including Best MICE Hotel in Malaysia and Top Business Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Shai was also selected for Marriott International’s General Manager succession pipeline, reflecting her leadership capability and strategic mindset.
Widely regarded as a people-first leader, Shaidatul has led several pre-openings, repositioning, and turnaround initiatives, building service cultures that resonate with guests while creating long-term value for owners.
In her new role at Dorsett Putrajaya, Shaidatul will oversee all aspects of the hotel’s operations, with full P&L responsibility. Her priorities include enhancing guest experiences, strengthening market presence, developing talent, and delivering sustainable performance for both business and leisure travellers.
With Visit Malaysia Year (VMY) 2026 on the horizon, Shaidatul is focused on positioning Dorsett Putrajaya to capture the anticipated surge in domestic and international arrivals.
Recognising Putrajaya’s unique standing as Malaysia’s administrative capital and a growing hub for government, diplomatic, corporate, and event-driven travel, she aims to elevate the hotel’s visibility as a preferred address for official delegations, MICE events, and leisure visitors exploring the Klang Valley.
Her strategy includes strengthening partnerships with tourism bodies, corporate stakeholders, and event organisers, while curating locally inspired guest experiences that highlight Putrajaya’s architectural landmarks, green spaces, and cultural offerings.
By aligning commercial strategy with destination marketing efforts for VMY 2026, she plans to enhance occupancy, optimise revenue streams, and reinforce Dorsett Putrajaya’s reputation for warm, intuitive service.
