KUALA LUMPUR,14 MAY — Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim today received an honorary visit from Seyyed Vali Reza Nasr, a distinguished scholar, author and international relations expert in the fields of West Asian politics and Islamic studies, who is currently in Malaysia at the invitation of International Islamic University Malaysia (UIAM).
The meeting served as an important platform for both sides to exchange views on the escalating developments surrounding the US-Iran conflict, including its implications on global geopolitical stability, regional security and the ongoing global energy supply crisis.
Anwar stressed the importance of continued diplomatic engagement and constructive dialogue by the international community in easing tensions and preventing further escalation that could threaten global peace and economic stability.
He expressed hope that all diplomatic initiatives and peace efforts undertaken collectively would contribute towards safeguarding international harmony, stability and the well-being of people around the world.
