KUALA LUMPUR, May 28 — Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil said the Aidiladha sacrificial programme in Lembah Pantai this year was carried out smoothly and in a strong spirit of unity and cooperation among the local communit, yesterday. Fahmi said a total of 72 cattle were contributed for distribution to mosques, suraus, residents’ associations and Rukun Tetangga groups throughout the Lembah Pantai parliamentary constituency. He said the initiative was made possible through close cooperation and solidarity among members and supporters of PKR, UMNO and AMANAH, together with local communities who worked hand in hand to ensure the success of the programme. “At the same time, I also had the opportunity to visit Masjid Muhammadi in Angkasapuri and Surau As-Sakinah at the Kuala Lumpur Police Headquarters (IPK Kuala Lumpur),” he said. Fahmi added that Aidiladha is not only about performing the sacrificial ritual, but also reflects sincerity, sacrifice and togetherness in helping those in need.
