HYDERABAD, 7 July — Datuk Seri M. Saravanan said Malaysia remains committed to building resilient and sustainable energy systems while embracing the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI).
Representing Malaysia as a panel speaker at the “Greening the Grid: Infrastructure, Innovation and Clean Integration” session during the Green Growth Economic Summit 2026 in Hyderabad, Telangana, Saravanan stressed that the country’s energy transition must be supported by forward-looking policies, regional cooperation and responsible leadership.
He noted that while AI is accelerating global progress and driving innovation, governments and industry leaders have a shared responsibility to ensure energy infrastructure is resilient, sustainable and future-ready.
Saravanan also highlighted the significant potential of countries in the Global South to lead the clean energy transition through stronger collaboration, innovation and a shared commitment to sustainable development.
He said the future will not be shaped by AI alone, but by the decisions and actions taken today to build a cleaner and more sustainable world.
