JOHOR BAHRU, July 11 – The Election Commission (EC) has released the latest voter turnout (VTO) update for the 16th Johor State Election, following the opening of polling centres across the state at 8am today.
According to the EC, the voter turnout figures reflect participation as of 9.00am, one hour after voting officially began throughout Johor.
Today’s election involves more than 2.7 million registered voters, who are casting their ballots across 56 State Legislative Assembly (DUN) constituencies to elect a new state government.
The EC is targeting an overall voter turnout of around **70 per cent**, with polling scheduled to continue until the afternoon, depending on the designated closing times of polling centres in each constituency.
