KUALA LUMPUR, July 21 – Malaysians have been urged to exercise greater caution when using artificial intelligence (AI) to generate content featuring the Jalur Gemilang, ensuring that the national flag is accurately represented at all times.
The reminder comes amid the growing use of AI-powered tools to create images, videos and digital content, which may unintentionally produce inaccurate depictions of the country’s official flag.
The public has been advised to ensure that all AI-generated visuals strictly comply with the official design and elements of the Jalur Gemilang, including its 14 red and white stripes, which symbolise the unity of the federation and serve as an important representation of Malaysia’s sovereignty and national identity.
Authorities stressed that preserving the integrity of the national flag is a shared responsibility and called on users to verify AI-generated content before publishing or sharing it, particularly in conjunction with national celebrations and patriotic campaigns.
