PUTRAJAYA, October 10 2026, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has thanked Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for helping Malaysia deliver humanitarian aid to Palestinians, including bringing injured Gaza victims to Malaysia for medical treatment.
Anwar said Egypt had played an important role in facilitating Malaysia’s humanitarian initiatives through coordination with the Egyptian President’s office and military intelligence.
He acknowledged that Malaysia’s contributions were modest compared with Egypt’s extensive efforts but stressed that Cairo’s cooperation had been crucial in ensuring assistance reached Palestinians.
Speaking at a joint press conference with El-Sisi at the Seri Perdana Complex, Anwar expressed appreciation for Egypt’s continued support of Malaysia’s humanitarian mission.
