KUALA LUMPUR, June 23 — Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil has congratulated Erwin Khairul Ahmad on his appointment as the new Director-General of the Information Department, and Wan Saidatul Shafina Mohd Amin on her appointment as Deputy Director-General (Digital Content).
In a statement yesterday, Fahmi expressed confidence that both leaders would continue to strengthen the department’s role as an effective channel for delivering government information and policies to the people.
“I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to brother Erwin Khairul Ahmad on his appointment as Director-General of the Information Department, and to sister Wan Saidatul Shafina Mohd Amin on her appointment as Deputy Director-General (Digital Content).
“May both of you continue to serve with dedication, wisdom and a high spirit of commitment in reinforcing the role of the Information Department as a medium for effective information dissemination to the rakyat,” he said.
Fahmi also recorded his appreciation and gratitude to former Director-General Julina Johan for her leadership and contributions throughout her tenure at the department.
“I would also like to express my deepest appreciation and millions of thanks to Puan Julina Johan for her service, dedication and invaluable contributions while leading the Information Department,” he added.
The Information Department plays a key role in communicating government policies, programmes and initiatives to the public through various communication platforms nationwide.
