PENAMPANG, 9 February 2026 — Sabah Deputy Chief Minister III and Minister of Industrial Development, Entrepreneurship and Transport, Datuk Ewon Benedick, officiated the opening of the Plaza 333 Spring Festive Bazaar 2026 yesterday in conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations.
The event was enlivened by vibrant dragon and lion dance performances and drew visitors from various communities, creating a festive atmosphere at Plaza 333.
Ewon said the organisation of the bazaar reflects the commitment of Plaza 333’s management in providing a platform for local entrepreneurs to market their products and generate income, especially during the festive season.
“A total of 40 stalls have been set up, and the bazaar will run until tomorrow night (today).
“Initiatives like this are very positive as they provide space and opportunities for small and medium-sized entrepreneurs to conduct business in a conducive environment,” he said.
According to Ewon, such programmes not only enhance the celebrations of Chinese New Year but also contribute to the strengthening of local economic activities.
During the event, Ewon also took time to engage with several participating entrepreneurs and purchased products sold at the bazaar as a gesture of support for their businesses.
