KUALA LUMPUR, JULY 22 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the agreement and close cooperation between the Federal Government and the Sarawak State Government continue to strengthen the state’s position as a leader in inclusive growth, innovation and development.
In a Facebook post in conjunction with Sarawak Day celebrations today, he said every effort implemented was driven by the determination to elevate the dignity of the people, strengthen the economy and ensure lasting prosperity.
Anwar, who is also the Finance Minister, said the transformation of progress being charted in the state was the result of joint efforts that needed to be further strengthened for the benefit of the people.
“With the spirit of Sarawak Maju Segulai Sejalai (Straight Ahead) , we will continue to step forward to strengthen unity, accelerate development and build a more prosperous future for Sarawak and Malaysia.”
“Happy Sarawak Day to all Sarawakians,” he said.
The Prime Minister also expressed hope that Bumi Kenyalang will continue to achieve success, foster prosperity and become the pride of the country for a brighter future for all the people of Sarawak and Malaysia.
