FL Technics Indonesia Wins EASA Approval for Bali Aircraft Maintenance Facility

BALI, Indonesia, FL Technics Indonesia has received European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) approval for its aircraft maintenance facility in Bali. The approval allows the company to service aircraft registered in the European Union.

The company said it is among the few aircraft maintenance facilities in Indonesia to hold this certification.

The approval covers maintenance for Airbus A320 aircraft, including the A320ceo and A320neo. It also covers Boeing 737 Classic, Next Generation and MAX aircraft.

Approval Opens Access to European Airlines

The new certification allows FL Technics Indonesia to provide maintenance services for European airlines. The facility previously served aircraft registered in the Americas, Asia, Africa and Australia.

EASA approval follows technical and quality checks. Inspectors reviewed the facility, its equipment and its engineering team.

Martynas Grigas, chairman of FL Technics Indonesia, said the Bali facility was preparing to begin work for a European Union-based airline. More aircraft were expected to arrive in November 2026.

He added that the company could also serve airlines in Asia, the Middle East and Australia that require EASA-approved maintenance.

Bali Facility Can Handle Five Aircraft

The facility is located at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar, Bali. It covers 17,000 square metres and has three hangars with aircraft bays.

The site also includes a 2,000-square-metre paint facility. According to the company, it can accommodate up to five narrow-body aircraft at the same time.

The facility provides aircraft maintenance services designed to meet safety requirements and reduce the time aircraft spend out of service.

Company Expands Regional Maintenance Services

FL Technics Indonesia provides aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul services. The company operates facilities in both Bali and Jakarta.

Its Jakarta site is located at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. The company says its operations are supported by more than 700 aviation professionals.

With the new EASA approval, the Bali facility can serve a wider range of airline customers and support operators that need maintenance approved under European aviation rules.
