Govt Resolves RM19 Mln MSME Digital Grant Delays Following Ministerial Intervention

PUTRAJAYA, May 8 — The Ministry of Digital has confirmed that all delayed disbursements under the Geran Digital PMKS MADANI (GDPM) programme have been successfully completed following ministerial intervention to address payment issues affecting participating companies.

Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo said the ministry worked closely with the Ministry of Finance to expedite the settlement of outstanding claims, with a total of RM19 million credited to the respective companies through Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN)

The GDPM initiative, introduced under Budget 2025, is aimed at accelerating digital adoption among micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) nationwide.

The programme involves more than 370 digitalisation partners offering solutions across nine key areas, including e-invoicing, artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity and digital payments.

Gobind said the ministry remains committed to ensuring the swift and efficient delivery of allocated funds, adding that the move reflects the MADANI Government’s commitment to resolving operational challenges while strengthening confidence among MSMEs and industry players in public service delivery.

He said the resolution also supports the government’s broader agenda of ensuring local businesses are not left behind as Malaysia advances towards its target of becoming an AI-driven nation by 2030.
