Hong Kong Disneyland to Hold Auditions in Kuala Lumpur This June

KUALA LUMPUR, May 6 2026 — Hong Kong Disneyland will host open audition sessions here on June 20 and 21, inviting Malaysian performing arts talent to join its cast as dancers and character actors.

The theme park stated that after successfully discovering exceptional performers across Asia, including Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines, South Korea, and Thailand, it is now turning its attention toward Malaysia.

“This special audition tour celebrates the country’s dynamic arts community and the extraordinary talent among its dancers and entertainers.

“Successful candidates will have the opportunity to bring Disney stories, characters, and magical moments to life for guests from all over the world,” the statement read.

The auditions will take place at the Asia Ballet Academy, Menara KLGCC, Bukit Kiara, beginning with workshops led by the Casting Director of Hong Kong Disneyland.

The workshops aim to provide insight into Disney’s performance standards and storytelling through movement, followed by live auditions held separately for dancers and character actors.

The casting team is searching for dancers with strong technical foundations, particularly in jazz and ballet, capable of performing in large-scale stage shows, parades, and seasonal celebrations.

“We are also looking for character actors to identify talented individuals who can bring Disney and Pixar stories to life through new Pixar experiences, themed events, and character greetings,” the statement added.

This initiative reflects Hong Kong Disneyland’s ongoing efforts to source diverse talent from across the Asian region.
