KUALA LUMPUR, July 15 — His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, granted an audience to Communications Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Fahmi Mohamed Fadzil at Istana Negara on Monday.
During the audience, Fahmi briefed His Majesty on the preparations for the 2026 National Day celebrations, which are scheduled to take place on Aug. 31 at Dataran Putrajaya.
The meeting focused on updates regarding planning and arrangements for the annual national celebration, which will commemorate Malaysia’s independence and bring together Malaysians from across the country.
The audience underscored the importance of ensuring smooth preparations for one of the nation’s most significant annual events, with various government agencies working together to deliver a successful National Day celebration.
