KUALA LUMPUR, September 21 2026, The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will host the 5th National Governance, Integrity and Anti-Corruption Research Conference (JKKTN) 2026 on Sept 25 at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC).
Themed “MADANI as a Catalyst for Integrity-Based Governance Towards a Corruption-Free Malaysia”, the conference will bring together about 1,000 participants from various stakeholder groups.
MACC National Governance Planning Division (BPGN) senior director Datuk Idris Zaharudin said the conference would serve as a platform for sharing research findings and exchanging views on governance, integrity and anti-corruption issues.
He said six research papers would be presented by research teams from six local universities, namely the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).
Idris said the findings and recommendations would also be shared with participants as input to help organisations improve their governance, integrity and anti-corruption practices.
He added that the conference highlights the importance of collaboration between MACC and academia in developing research that addresses current governance and corruption risks.
The closing ceremony will be officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The annual conference is part of MACC’s efforts to connect academic research with practical needs in strengthening governance and combating corruption.
