Mahmud Epah Appointed Sarawak PKR Chairman

KUALA LUMPUR, October 18 2026, Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) has appointed Mahmud Epah as its new Sarawak state chairman as the party strengthens its preparations for the upcoming 13th Sarawak State Election.

PKR secretary-general Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh said the decision was made during a meeting between Sarawak PKR division leaders and party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim yesterday.

Mahmud, who previously served as the state party secretary, succeeds Ahmad Nazib Johari in the position.

Fuziah said Ahmad Nazib would continue working to strengthen ties between the party’s national leadership and its divisions in Sabah and Sarawak, supporting PKR’s efforts to expand its political presence in both states.

She added that the meeting also agreed to strengthen election strategies and grassroots preparations ahead of the Sarawak polls.

The leadership restructuring forms part of the party’s broader efforts to improve its organisational readiness and coordinate its election groundwork.
