KUALA LUMPUR: September 27 2026, Barisan Nasional (BN) is expected to finalise its political cooperation and the logo to be used for the Melaka State Election this week.
BN chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said discussions would be held with several political parties before the proposals are presented to UMNO’s top leadership and the BN Supreme Council for a final decision.
He said preliminary discussions had already been held with the Melaka UMNO Liaison Committee chairman, with several options being considered.
Meanwhile, Melaka BN chairman Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh said negotiations with potential strategic partners would begin tomorrow.
The Melaka State Legislative Assembly was dissolved on Sept 23, with the Election Commission scheduled to announce the nomination, early voting and polling dates on Oct 7.
