KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Ministry of Industrial Development, Entrepreneurship and Transport (MINDET) held a stakeholder engagement session with Sabah Finance Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Masidi Manjun on the Sabah Budget 2027 recently.
Deputy Chief Minister III and MINDET Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick said the session provided an opportunity for his ministry to propose several new initiatives for consideration in the upcoming state budget.
He said discussions covered both existing initiatives implemented by MINDET and its agencies, as well as new proposals put forward by the ministry.
“In addition to the existing initiatives undertaken by MINDET and its agencies, I also presented several proposed initiatives for consideration in the Sabah Budget 2027,” he said.
Ewon added that SEDCOVEST, a subsidiary of the Sabah Economic Development Corporation (SEDCO) and one of the agencies under MINDET, also delivered a special presentation during the session.
The engagement formed part of the preparation process for the Sabah Budget 2027, enabling the state Finance Ministry to review proposals and funding requirements submitted by relevant ministries and agencies.
