KOTA BHARU, August 23 2026 — One of two Malaysian men recently arrested by Thai authorities for allegedly possessing 1,560 Epam pills is also on the wanted list of the Kelantan police.
Kelantan police chief Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mamat said the two men were detained by Thai police in a recent operation.
He said Malaysian authorities were informed of the arrests and checks found that one of the suspects was wanted by Kelantan police in connection with a separate case.
The authorities are now working to obtain further information on the suspects and their alleged activities.
The seizure involving the 1,560 Epam pills also highlights ongoing concerns over the cross-border movement of controlled substances between Malaysia and Thailand.
