PKR Urged To Restore Rodziah’s MyKhas Access, Resolve Dispute Through Dialogue

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 9 — PKR has been urged to resolve the dispute involving Ampang MP Rodziah Ismail’s access to the MyKhas constituency allocation system through dialogue, with analysts saying her access should be restored as she remains a member of the party.

The issue concerns access to MyKhas, a platform used to manage special constituency allocations intended to support community needs and local development projects.

Rodziah is among several PKR lawmakers who have reportedly lost access to the system amid political tensions within the party following the emergence of Parti Bersama Malaysia (Bersama), which is led by former PKR leaders Rafizi Ramli and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad.

The controversy has raised questions about the administration of constituency funds and whether restrictions on individual lawmakers could affect the delivery of assistance to residents.

Analysts have called for the matter involving Rodziah to be resolved amicably, including through discussions with the party leadership, rather than allowing the dispute to continue.

The debate comes amid differing views on the management of MyKhas allocations. PKR leaders have previously defended access restrictions involving lawmakers aligned with an alternative political platform, describing them as a matter of political accountability.

However, the government has maintained that the allocations are special funds under the Prime Minister’s discretion and are intended for the benefit of residents rather than being a personal entitlement of MPs.

Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil previously said that restrictions on MPs’ access to the portal would not affect their rights or functions as elected representatives. He also said residents could continue submitting applications for assistance, which could be assessed and approved through the Prime Minister’s Department’s Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU).

The MyKhas issue has also involved Subang MP Wong Chen and Petaling Jaya MP Lee Chean Chung, who previously reported losing access to the system after attending the launch of Bersama.

The dispute has prompted wider calls for clarity and transparency in the distribution of constituency allocations, particularly to ensure that assistance reaches eligible residents without disruption.

Resolving the matter through dialogue would help address concerns surrounding political differences while keeping the focus on the needs of constituents.
