PMX AI Goes Live on WhatsApp, Offers Malaysians Direct Access to Government Information

KUALA LUMPUR, July 20 – Malaysians can now interact with an artificial intelligence (AI) avatar of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim through WhatsApp following the launch of PMX AI, a chatbot designed to provide information on government policies and initiatives.

Anwar announced the launch through a superhero-themed video shared on his official social media platforms, inviting the public to engage with the AI platform and share their views, concerns and aspirations.

The name PMX AI is derived from Anwar’s position as Malaysia’s 10th Prime Minister and his initials.

Developed by local digital services company Zetrix AI, the chatbot was trained using Anwar’s official speeches, writings and policy records from his administration, allowing it to respond in a style reflecting his communication approach.

The platform aims to provide Malaysians with accurate information related to government programmes, policies and national initiatives.

Future updates are expected to expand PMX AI’s capabilities by enabling users to access selected government services through WhatsApp, including applications related to MyKad, passports and driving licences.

Anwar said the initiative serves as another channel for the government to listen directly to the people, including the hopes of youths, families, senior citizens and communities across the country.

He expressed hope that public participation through PMX AI would contribute towards building a stronger national dialogue and a better future for Malaysia.
