KUALA LUMPUR, July 14 — Perikatan Nasional (PN) has announced that the Registrar of Societies (ROS) has officially approved the change of name of Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM) to Parti Wawasan Negara (WAWASAN NEGARA).
In a media statement issued on Tuesday, PN Secretary-General Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan said the approval was granted by the ROS on July 6, 2026.
Following the approval, Parti Wawasan Negara has officially become a component party of Perikatan Nasional under its new name, effective from the same date.
Takiyuddin said the recognition is in accordance with Clause 6.5 of the Perikatan Nasional Constitution, which governs the membership of component parties within the coalition.
“The Registrar of Societies has approved the application to change the name of Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM) to Parti Wawasan Negara (WAWASAN NEGARA) on July 6, 2026. Accordingly, Parti Wawasan Negara has legally become a member party of Perikatan Nasional under its new name from that date,” he said.
The announcement formalises the party’s new identity within the opposition coalition, with Parti Wawasan Negara replacing Parti Cinta Malaysia as one of PN’s recognised component parties.
