SEOUL – Samsung is reportedly preparing a major overhaul of its Android-based user interface through One UI 10, which is expected to be introduced around 2027.
The reported upgrade could mark one of the platform’s most significant changes since One UI was introduced. Industry reports have also suggested the possibility of a future change in the software’s branding, although no official confirmation has been issued, according to Amanz.
In recent years, Samsung has focused on introducing new features and integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into One UI, while making gradual adjustments to its overall design.
One UI 10 is expected to deliver a refreshed user experience through a redesigned interface and reorganised menus, potentially simplifying navigation and reducing the number of steps required to complete tasks.
Samsung is also reportedly exploring new ways to integrate on-device AI, enabling smartphones to perform tasks more contextually. These capabilities could include automatically coordinating information from calendars, location data and messages.
The approach could transform Samsung smartphones into central control hubs, allowing users to connect and manage devices across the company’s ecosystem more seamlessly.
According to industry reports, the new interface could debut around 2027 before being rolled out to more of Samsung’s premium devices in subsequent phases.
However, Samsung has yet to issue an official statement confirming the reported plans.
For now, attention remains on updates within the One UI 9 series ahead of the anticipated transition to the next generation.
