YB Datuk Ahmad Fahmi Fadzil Launches Computer Contribution Programme to Strengthen Police Digital Capabilities

KUALA LUMPUR, 3 APRIL -- Minister of Communications, YB Datuk Ahmad Fahmi Fadzil yesterday officiated the Computer Contribution Programme at the Brickfields District Police Headquarters, aimed at enhancing digital capabilities within the police force. Held at the Brickfields IPD lobby, the ceremony was attended by Brickfields District Police Chief ACP Hoo Chang Hook, alongside division heads, station police chiefs, and representatives from the Kuala Lumpur contingent as well as the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission. In his speech, YB Datuk Ahmad Fahmi highlighted that the contributed computers are intended to support the logistical needs of the police, particularly in strengthening their digital infrastructure and improving operational efficiency. “This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to advancing digitalisation within the Royal Malaysia Police, while enhancing the quality and efficiency of services delivered to the community,” he said. He added that the programme aligns with broader efforts to modernise public service systems and ensure that enforcement agencies are better equipped to meet current challenges. The event underscored strong collaboration between government agencies in promoting community safety and wellbeing, with officials noting the importance of continued cooperation in such initiatives.
