YB Datuk Fahmi Fadzil Launches Johor NADI Advisory Panel to Strengthen Community Empowerment

KUALA LUMPUR, 6 April 2026 – Malaysia’s Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil officiated the presentation of appointment letters for the NADI Advisory Panel (PPN) for the state of Johor yesterday, marking a key step in strengthening grassroots community initiatives. The ceremony was held in Johor Bahru and attended by Zaliha Mustafa, Member of Parliament for Sekijang, who accompanied the minister during the event. YB Datuk Fahmi said the establishment of the NADI Advisory Panel serves as a support body at the parliamentary cluster level, aimed at enhancing programme implementation and reinforcing the role of the National Information Dissemination Centres (NADI) as hubs for community empowerment. For Johor, a total of 26 chairpersons have been appointed to lead the advisory panels across the respective parliamentary constituencies. Nationwide, there are currently 1,099 NADI centres in operation, with 101 located in Johor alone. He noted that the appointments are expected to broaden the involvement of local leaders and communities, improve coordination of programmes, and ensure that NADI initiatives are more impactful and aligned with the needs of local communities.
