Unity Spirit Shines at Penang Deputy Chief Minister I’s Open House

BUKIT MERTAJAM, March 24  — Steven Sim Chee Keong, Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives and Member of Parliament for Bukit Mertajam, attended the Hari Raya open house hosted by Mohamad Abd Hamid, Penang Deputy Chief Minister I, at Bertam Perdana, Kepala Batas yesterday.

The event was also graced by the presence of Chow Kon Yeow, Chief Minister of Penang; Rashidi Zinol, State EXCO for Agrotechnology, Food Security, Entrepreneur Development and Rural Development; Ramkarpal Singh, Member of Parliament for Bukit Gelugor; Adzlan Azhar, Chief Whip (PKR) of the Penang Island City Council (MBPP); and Zainuddin Mohamed, Chief Whip (PKR) of the Seberang Perai City Council (MBSP).

The gathering, held in a warm and cordial atmosphere, provided an opportunity for Mohamad to share updates on several ongoing initiatives under his portfolio. Among them is the construction of asnaf housing on waqf land in Seberang Jaya, which is expected to be completed by June.

The presence of leaders from across political parties highlighted the strong spirit of unity and cooperation within the Penang Unity Government, while also reflecting a shared commitment to diversity and inclusiveness.

Steven Sim expressed his appreciation to Mohamad for the invitation and conveyed his hope that the Syawal celebration would bring renewed meaning in strengthening unity, cooperation, and solidarity among leaders within the Penang Unity Government.
