MELAKA, September 25 2026, The Melaka Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Leadership Council (MPN) has clarified that a poster featuring the Melaka state flag and photographs of party leaders, which went viral on social media, was not officially issued by PKR or Pakatan Harapan (PH).
Melaka PKR Information Chief Eddiarman Mohd Yunos said the poster contained errors in the depiction of the Melaka state flag and the arrangement of leaders’ photographs.
He said the poster was created by an individual who did not represent the party and was not associated with any official programme.
The poster has since been removed, he said in a statement today.
Eddiarman said Melaka PKR has always upheld the proper use and presentation of national and state flags, coats of arms, official emblems and photographs of its leaders in all official materials.
He said the incident highlighted the limitations of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in producing accurate visuals, particularly those involving sensitive official symbols.
He also reminded party supporters and machinery to exercise caution when using AI-generated visuals, especially for party-related materials.
Eddiarman thanked media practitioners for their attention and fairness in reporting the matter, while urging supporters to act responsibly when sharing content on social media.
