KUALA LUMPUR, June 11 — Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil yesterday visited several residents in Kg Pasir Baru and Taman Seri Sentosa as part of the Ziarah Kasih programme, reaffirming the government’s commitment to staying connected with communities and addressing the needs of vulnerable groups.
During the visit, Fahmi met with Md Fozi Abdullah, Chan Peng Keong and Evangelin Miranda, taking time to listen to their concerns and understand the challenges they face in their daily lives.
He said each visit under the programme serves as a reminder that many individuals and families are quietly dealing with personal hardships and require continued support, attention and compassion from society.
“Behind the daily hustle and bustle, there are people facing their own challenges who need care, concern and assistance from all of us,” he said.
Fahmi expressed hope that the visits would bring comfort and encouragement to the residents while strengthening ties between the community and its leaders.
He also prayed for the well-being of those visited, expressing hope that they would be granted strength, good health and ease in managing their affairs.
The Ziarah Kasih programme is part of ongoing efforts to reach out to communities, particularly those in need, and ensure that no one is left behind in the nation’s development agenda.
