Zahid Hamidi Praises Negeri Sembilan Youth, Calls for Stronger TVET to Drive State’s Future

SEREMBAN, July 30 — Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi yesterday has praised the enthusiasm and potential of young people in Negeri Sembilan, describing them as a generation capable of driving the state’s future economic growth through Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

Speaking at a TVET youth programme in Negeri Sembilan, Zahid said he was overwhelmed by the warm reception from participants, with the venue filled by a sea of enthusiastic young people eager to embrace new opportunities.

He said the energy displayed throughout the event reflected the readiness of Negeri Sembilan’s youth to become the skilled workforce needed to support the state’s expanding industries and investments.

Zahid stressed that strengthening TVET remains a key priority to ensure young Malaysians are equipped with high-value technical skills, enabling them to secure quality employment and earn better incomes.

He expressed confidence that Negeri Sembilan’s youth should be among the first to benefit from new investment opportunities as industries continue to grow and create more high-skilled jobs in the state.

“The future of Negeri Sembilan depends on a generation that is prepared with the right skills, supported by clear planning and capable leadership,” he said.

Zahid added that continued investment in TVET would not only enhance workforce competitiveness but also contribute to sustainable economic development and position Negeri Sembilan as a leading hub for skilled talent.

He also called on the people of Negeri Sembilan, particularly the younger generation, to work together in realising the state’s potential and helping it achieve greater progress in the years ahead.
