DBKL Strengthens Tree Mitigation Efforts to Ensure Public Safety in Kuala Lumpur

KUALA LUMPUR, July 21 – Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) continues to strengthen its urban tree management efforts through systematic and sustainable mitigation works aimed at ensuring public safety and the well-being of city residents.

DBKL said the proactive measures are being carried out at several locations across the Federal Territory to reduce risks associated with urban trees. This week, mitigation works are focused on areas within the Bukit Bintang, Lembah Pantai and Batu parliamentary constituencies.

The locations include Selera Medan Bunus (Lestari Niaga), Jalan Pantai Murni, Pantai Dalam, Jalan Pantai Permai, Bangsar, Jalan Haji Salleh, Sentul, Jalan Sinar Sentul and Depoh Tunda JPK, Jalan Sentul.

DBKL said the initiative forms part of its ongoing commitment to maintaining healthy urban greenery while minimising potential hazards to road users and residents.

The public has been advised to follow safety instructions and signage at work sites to ensure the mitigation operations run smoothly and safely.

DBKL reiterated its commitment towards creating a safer, greener and more sustainable Kuala Lumpur for all.
