Melaka PH, Bersatu in Talks to Form ‘PH Plus’ for State Election

MELAKA, September 19 2026, Pakatan Harapan (PH) Melaka is in talks with parties that share similar political aspirations, including Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), to establish a “PH Plus” collaboration for the upcoming Melaka State Election.

Melaka PH chairman Datuk Seri Adly Zahari said the negotiations were being conducted in line with decisions made by the PH Presidential Council.

He said any cooperation involving Bersatu would only be announced once negotiations were concluded.

Adly, who is also Deputy Defence Minister, said seat negotiations among PH component parties PKR, Amanah and DAP had been finalised, with Amanah allocated eight state seats.

Among the seats Amanah is expected to contest are Bukit Katil, Durian Tunggal, Telok Mas and Merlimau.

On possible cooperation with Barisan Nasional (BN), Adly said no negotiations had been held with the coalition so far.

Meanwhile, PKR secretary-general Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh said the party was prepared to face the Melaka state election and contest against any party once a decision on political cooperation had been made.
