PUTRAJAYA, September 21 2026, The Road Transport Department (JPJ) collected RM91.21 million through the bidding of the “H” series Special Registration Numbers (NPI) held in conjunction with the 2026 Malaysia Day celebration.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook said the total comprised RM89.27 million in successful bids and RM1.94 million in service fees through the JPJeBid system.
The bidding, held from Sept 16 to 20, attracted 34,664 participants, with 8,223 registration numbers successfully bid for.
Loke said registration number H 1 recorded the highest bid at RM10.78 million, followed by H 9 at RM4.97 million and H 3 at RM4.21 million.
Meanwhile, H 1001 and H 100 recorded the highest participation, with 37 bidders each.
He said the strong response reflected high demand for special registration numbers while demonstrating the effectiveness of digital bidding through JPJeBid.
Loke added that the revenue would be channelled back to the public through various Ministry of Transport and JPJ programmes, including road safety initiatives.
He also thanked JPJ personnel, bidders and Malaysians for their strong response to the “H” series.
