KUALA LUMPUR — Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has called for an immediate end to violence in West Asia and urged renewed diplomatic efforts based on international law and respect for human dignity.
Speaking at the Malaysia MADANI Scholars Forum, the Prime Minister said the ongoing conflict involving Israel and the support of the United States reflects a dangerous trend of geopolitical domination that ignores humanitarian considerations.

He noted that the biggest victims of the conflict are women, children and civilians forced to live in fear, loss and prolonged trauma.
Anwar said Malaysia maintains a clear and principled stance in demanding an end to violence, de-escalation of tensions and the revival of diplomatic channels.
The forum also featured renowned economist Jeffrey Sachs as a guest speaker and was organised by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Malaysia and Sunway University.
