Meta has introduced several new features to its mobile video editing app, Edits, giving content creators more tools to produce, customise and manage their videos.
According to Amanz, the update introduces new editing options and content creation tools directly within the app.
One of the key additions is Audio Links, which allows creators to add clickable audio links from Instagram’s music library, directing viewers to specific songs or sounds.
Meta has also introduced Popular Topics, a feature designed to help creators identify topics attracting interest among their followers and generate ideas for new content. However, access to its analytics is currently limited to creator accounts with more than 10,000 followers in selected markets.
Another addition, Kits, allows users to save editing settings, including colour palettes, text styles, captions and audio elements, for reuse in future projects. The feature aims to help creators maintain a consistent visual style across their videos.
The update also brings more than 50 new video effects, including entrance and exit animations and additional transition options, expanding the creative possibilities available to users.
The latest improvements reflect Meta’s efforts to strengthen its creator ecosystem and make Edits more competitive in the mobile video editing market.
The update is being rolled out gradually, giving users access to more tools to customise their videos according to their individual styles and content needs.
