KUALA LUMPUR — The true stability of the country depends on the strength of the people’s unity and willingness to move together for a more prosperous and resilient future for Malaysia in the face of various current and global challenges, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

In a Facebook post, he said his visit to Sabah provided an opportunity to meet with various levels of society, including local leaders, civil servants, small traders and young people who are described as the hope for the future of the state and the country.

“Sabah reminds us that Malaysia’s strength is not just in its produce, but also in the harmony of the people who live in a spirit of consensus and mutual respect, in addition to the commitment of the MADANI Government to continue implementing the demands under the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) for the well-being of the people of this state,” he said.

The Prime Minister paid a visit to Sabah yesterday which saw him attend the Opening Ceremony of the National Consumer Day Celebration 2026, in addition to the Mini Justice Convention programme and the Opening Ceremony of the Sabah State-level Branch Annual General Meeting.
