Huawei Launches Smart Venue Showcase with Longgang International Arts Center

SHENZHEN, China, Nov 2 – Huawei and Longgang International Arts Center have launched a global showcase to demonstrate how digital technology can improve cultural venues and visitor experiences.

The launch took place in Shenzhen alongside the opening of the D+ Digital Art Gallery. Government representatives, technology leaders and art experts attended the event.

The project highlights how technology and art can work together. It also demonstrates how digital systems can improve venue management, energy efficiency and public services.

Huawei Integrates Technology into Cultural Spaces

Huawei Vice-President Michael Ma said the company had supported the project from its physical construction to its digital transformation.

The company worked with industry partners to introduce information and communications technology (ICT) across the venue.

The project focuses on four areas: smart construction, better visitor experiences, efficient operations and environmentally friendly practices.

Huawei said it would continue developing technology solutions to help cultural venues improve their services and daily operations.

Digital Systems Support Venue Operations

Longgang International Arts Center chief technology officer Wu Zhaohui said the venue uses digital infrastructure to support its operations.

The system helps manage services for visitors, business partners and government agencies.

Meanwhile, Huawei Campus Team CEO Eric He said the venue uses a 10 Gbps campus network and a digital platform to support its operations.

These systems cover the venue’s full lifecycle, from construction and management to daily operations.

Huawei said the technology supports six areas:

  • Smart construction.
  • More efficient operations.
  • Energy savings and lower carbon emissions.
  • Immersive visitor experiences.
  • Personalised services.
  • Improved visitor engagement.

Venue Receives Recognition for Energy Efficiency

A third-party assessment rated the centre’s digital performance as excellent in smart energy saving and carbon reduction.

The assessment also placed its energy efficiency performance in the highest class.

Representatives from the assessment organisation presented the results during the event.

The recognition highlights the role of digital systems in helping cultural venues manage energy use more efficiently.

Visitors Explore Digital Art Experiences

Guests also visited the venue’s Intelligent Operation Center to see how its digital systems work.

They watched a light show at the DomeArt Gallery and explored two exhibitions.

These included Great Beauty of China in the Flight Hall and Boundless Realm in the CAVE exhibition space.

Huawei said it plans to continue working with industry partners as artificial intelligence (AI) and OpenHarmony technology develop.

The company aims to bring more digital innovation into cultural spaces and make art experiences accessible to wider audiences.
